Chop Suey

Tried it: YES. Many, many times.

My thoughts: Comfort food.

Ingredients:

1 1/2 pounds round steak, cut up
1 large can La Choy Chop Suey
1 or 2 cans mushrooms (stems & pieces)
1/4 cup molasses
Kitchen Bouquet browning & seasoning sauce

Preparation:

Brown meat in butter or oil, then add water and cover and cook for at least one hour. Add molasses and Kitchen Banquet. Taste & cook 1/2 hour longer. If it cooks down add more water or beef broth. Then add vegetables and mushrooms.
